I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—Zoey Wonders Why and the Great Catastrophe has been named a 2025 Royal Dragonfly Book Award Winner for Best Children’s Chapter Book!

The Royal Dragonfly Book Awards celebrate excellence in children’s literature worldwide, recognizing stories that inspire imagination, empathy, and meaningful learning. To have Zoey Wonders Why and the Great Catastrophe honored among so many outstanding titles is truly humbling.

This middle-grade chapter book follows Zoey as she navigates unexpected changes, the emotional impact of job loss in her family, and the challenge of recognizing and letting go of toxic friendships. Through humor, heart, and relatable experiences, the story encourages young readers to build resilience, practice empathy, and understand that change—while difficult—can also lead to growth.
